iGuida

We were approached back in Oct 2009 by Jeff and Ben Madrell of Manx Interactive (Chicago, IL) to see about getting involved with the redesign of Iguida.com. Iguida.com has 100,000 visitors a month and has pages ranking on the first page of google organic search for targeted keywords.

Phase 2 (2011)

After their site's success from Phase 1 and using Drupal as their CMS, Manx Interactive decided it was time for a face lift (new theme) and a few new features to extend the functionality of their site.

This time around Manx left the design of the their new theme in the hands of LiquidCMS. The result was a much more modern, crisper look.

Besides the fresh new theme, numerous new features were added:

• new pages for the Reviews:
  • specifications
  • warranty section
  • expert Q/A
• calculators (http://iguida.com/calculators)
• improved photo gallery with embedded advertisements in the slideshow (http://iguida.com/2011-jeep-grand-cherokee/photos)
• extensive use of Panels to create a complex system of inline embedding of blocks

Phase 1 (2009 - 2011)

They came to us with a much improved view of the site's theme and were looking for a developer/development company to turn that redesign into a functioning website while ensuring the current ranking web pages did not loose their positioning. Iguida.com was already using Drupal 5 for its content management system and the client was interested in continuing to use Drupal. Although the site was initially a Drupal site the content was primarily just HTML pages. The goal for the new site was to restructure the content so that it was easier to manage, edit, filter on and in short... to have it designed like a true CMS.
