Ottawa Sport Plus

Ottawa Sport Plus is a local volleyball league which caters to young urban individuals looking to both play volleyball and socialize.

Conversion of OSP to Drupal (2011)

Having out grown their original off-shore developed site; OSP decided it was time to switch to Drupal.

Some of the features in this project include:

• ecommerce (Ubercart) supported event registration
• numerous custom email templates using the messaging API
• discussion forums
• photo galleries
• team management
• bulk email capabilities

Although the site may not look too complex it is possibly one of the more custom projects LiquidCMS has ever done. Some of the many custom features include:

• custom registration flows
• custom Ubercart checkout
• match results submission
• complex team standing administration
• very flexible sport/fee/event management
• numerous custom admin management pages

Another important part of the project was importing all of the old site's (non-Drupal) content.

Phase 2  (2008 - 2011)

After more than 40 fixes and additions to the original design, John Earl, the founder of OSP, had this to say about LiquidCMS: "It was great working with you on this project, you were very responsive to our requests and I appreciated suggestions and improvements that you provided to the project. I will definitely recommend you to friends for other projects".

The OSP's original site was developed off-shore, but for their Phase 2 improvements they chose LiquidCMS.

The OSP site is not CMS based but is designed using PHP and MySQL and uses numerous open source PHP and JS modules.

Due to special email features added in Phase 2 the site was also moved from a shared hosting account and is now hosted by LiquidCMS.
